Here comes the December and took me away from the present set-up of life to the most favorite phase of my life so far.... Satyam@Hyderabad ...

I had decided not to write this time as I have already written too much on this topic...but ...but...suddenly since so many days I am observing sooo many Satyamites ( I hate to say Ex- Satyamites) ...posting pics of Satyam days...posting some really good sento status updates and followed by lot many wonderful comments and numbersss of Likes ...
All these were enough triggers for me to logged in to my blog and write down something again... :)

Some pages from the diary of Dec 2007
12 th December 2007

It has been 3 days I have landed in this beautiful city -Hyderabad...
Visit to Char-minar , Salarjung museum with friends and parents made me realize about the Royal Charm the city has and at the same time the beauty of Hussain Sagar  made me smile that Wow! I would be living in this city..

Tomorrow is my DOJ-Date of Joining ...I am anxious ...I am little worried ...I am sooooo much Happy...

This is my first job ..the wonderful gift my University gave me as my campus placement ...I am thinking about my written tests and GD and 2 interviews and how nervous I was at that time...and when they were announcing results of placement how my friends were enthu after hearing my name in the list...

And here I am today ....

Still I have not found PG for me...thinking that if me and my friend would get room at STC itself..let's see..

Tomorrow I ll be meeting so many new people ...some I knew from college...some from Orkut communities and rest unknown but shortly will be added to the friend list ...
Dont know how the training will go...weather I ll be able to understand the new field IT or not...

Hmmmm.... eagerly waiting for tomorrow morning ...We have already visited the Masha-Allah office from where tomorrow I have to take the bus ...

All set to go...for day 1 in the corporate world.....from tomorrow I ll be the  Satyamite ... :) :) :)

Hoping my stay at Hyd will be memorable and my work at my first job along with lot many new friends would be even more memorable !!!

Decoding the messages ...

You walk in the office campus with perfect rebellious mood with a tinch of fear of how the day is going to be....lot many thoughts...lot many pre-judged consequences ...teeny-weeny anxiety and many un-named emotions taking ride in the mind...you'r walking firmly ...yet lonely ...

And suddenly you hear that someone's phone is  ringing at distance place ...and the words of the ring-tone song simply brings smile on your face ....

You feel confident...the self-confidence level passes the level where anxiousness can vanish...where calmness can make its way to your mind...

You know what were the wordings ...?

For 03 EE- my gang :)

11.10.2003 to 11.10.2011

I know that  dates are mere numbers and numbers are meant to be reside in statistics/History books ...but as some dates/numbers behave as memory trigger and they take you to the phases of life..where you have achieved something.

11.10.2003 was the day , where destiny wrote pre-fix 'Er.'  to our names and from 12th pass student we all became engineering students..to be precise Electrical Engg students ..

The day which became witness of our transition from school to college life...

The day we all met and became friends/best friends or let's say at least class mates ...

it has been 8 years still memory is still fresh ...that C block Audi and speech filled with motivating words from professors and seniors ...then C Block class room where general intro begun...that cricket match , songs , debate , acting ...etc etc.....
then we were taken on campus-tour and perhaps we realized that we were in the college which has the best infrastructure...

Canteen and workshop and that NIM ...we saw them all...

and then going to Nirma and doing masti with fun became normal routine until April 2007 ...

enormous memories.....mostly sweet and some bitter .....uncounted laughter moments and rare teary zones .....class room study to canteen assignment copying.. .ice-gola party to cutting tea in raining season ....dumbcharads  times to hectic scheduling during Vidhyut Adbhutam ....Mid-sem to class tests ....SLP time to study-tour times ....birthday parties to bakra-parties ....
we have enjoyed all....

Unlike other colleges where engineering means only fun...we at Nirma studied well as well as did almost same amount of fun like others...and icing on the cake was the campus-placements... :) So who-so-ever had little doubt about doing lesser fun and more study ...had a bigg ear to ear smile after the offer letters from the prestigious companies... ;)

Never the less I am proud to be associated with the college and also very happy to know all of you in EE department ...

Thank you for being there and making my college life most wonderful...

A day in Ye hai Mumbai meri jaan !!

Before visiting and living some of the most memorable years at Hyderabad ,Mumbai alwayz used to top on my list of favorite cities. Never the less , as far as memories are concern both the cities top the list. :)

Sometimes you dont write much about the obvious happenings in your life , and for the same reason I have never written about Mumbai and my memories ever before on the blog - as It is the routine to visit Mumbai during vacations/Holidays/Rakhi    and do so much fun since my childhood days..

I have some very mesmerizing- mastikhor- memories at Mumbai...since my childhood. Mumbai has alwayz taught me many things which usually were unknown to me as being from a silent-not so happening city..

At every stage from kid zone to teen-age zone to now , I have alwayz spent quality time at this city , as my cousins alwayz make my stay at aamchi Mumbai superb with lot many plans and outings and chit-chats. (Ofcorse, fights - some sweet one some serious one used to be there for obvious reasons like TV and blah blah in Kid-Zone days ;) :P )

My recent visit during Rakshabandhan to Mumbai had its own charm as we (Me, My two kid-cousins and my rakhi-brother(Big B)) spent lovely time roaming around in the city and that trigger me a thought of writing this post.

The day started with lots of planning and opinions from everyone about where to go and what to do , and since it was a holiday we all were in the lazy-let's sit at home and sleep zone ..and added to that Big B came late becoz of the famous Mumbai-Traffic which forced more to our declined inclination to go out. But then power of Pizza/Pasta dominated our mind and finally we four stepped out of the home in the Mumbai's humid sun-shine after completing rituals of Rakshabandhan.

The lunch at the 'Red-Box' became memorable as we played one 'ask-a-secret' kinda teen-age special game (as one of my cousin is a teenager and she is the youngest and bubbliest among all of us) , which usually is famous among friends rather than siblings ;) But we are different ...we all are friends cum siblings !! :)

After the tip-top lunch and lot many laughter riots becoz of the game , we decided to go to very famous place called Pedar-Road - which draws a line between Mumbai's fast life and the steady- royal sea. The area is a nice-hang-out place if the sun is not being so harsh on you that day. We were not lucky in that case and so we thought of going to Barista.
Now, there again the fun-game begun , both the brothers were mind-blowing in answering /questioning while me and my kid-sister were all the way giggling and laughing. And there again the serious discussion begun about which  movie to see and if not movie then what next?

Considering the fact that we all four have different movie-choices , we finally thought to go on long-drive on the Bandra-Worli sea-link.
Awesome technology marvel , beautiful sea , drizzling mausam and non-stop antakshari with siblings made the sea-link journey more wonderful.

And then suddenly we all went in to silent mode , the moment we reached to Marine Drive - for the obvious reason sunset and the sea. It's a life time experience to bid adieu to the sun , sitting on the edge of the road, staring at the sea and dot-like ship at the distance , forgetting the noisy traffic behind you , avoiding the sky-scrappers and people.

You find the meaning of spirituality and serenity at moments like these. All four of us were quiet in our own ways - younger sis was writing poetry in her mobile , younger brother was staring at the sea and was clicking some pic of the sun-set , Big B was also staring the sea ..and I was enjoying the lovely nature and was thanking the God silently for giving me such a wonderful people along with the present called Life.

Then our silence broke with the noise of Bhutta-walas and Chai-walas , and we all again started singing songs with Bhutta in our hands like school going kids ;)  Trust me it's alwayz fun to be kids again .. :)

Our return journey started with screaming mad songs like 'Senorittaa' (from ZNMB) and 'Dhinka Chika' ..
the whole day was spent in masti and masti and more masti ... :)

We reached home with lot many memories and smiles on our faces.

I found that no matter how often you talk with each other , how tough you fight on a silly issue with each other , how you realize the total opposite nature of all , the caring factor plays the lead role in relations of siblings.  They make you smile , they make you feel proud and they feel proud , they pull your leg and fights with other if they try to do the same with you ...siblings -strange yet lovely people :)

On a ending note , would say Mumbai still rocks in its own way in my life...and will write more about my bondng with the lovely city soon...till then a bigggggg thanks to all my siblings -younger ones /elder ones for being there all time for me :)

Some Treasured Memories

If you are a Gujju then you must be knowing that 'The Saaf-Safaai of home' time has begun as Navratri is approaching..
Today while re-arranging things in my cupboards as alwayz found lot many treasured memories which push me back into the time ...
I alwayz knew I have kept all such small little memories nicely ..but still I alwayz feel same joy (read sento-zone) as and when I see them ..no matter how many time ...
There were files where I have nicely arranged all my Speeches from school time ...while flipping the pages ; the school...stage..podium ..my badge with 'School Leader' embossed on it...flag march.. everything came into mind ..along with those times where I used to have stage fear (strange!! but true) ...

Then the glorious 4 years of Nirma and enormous preserved memories from printouts of presentations ..some banners and schedules of Vidyut Adbhutam ...news paper articles with photos of our group ...broken multimeters and circuit parts ...
all took me back to those 'D' block ...EE days filled with so much laughter riots :)

I also found some paper cuttings and Business Todays featuring Satyam as Top rank-4 IT company status ...which I have collected after getting placement ....I dint wanted to do that but yes sadly I trash those cuttings today..

Never the less I cant deny the fact that Satyam and Hyderabad have given me memories of life time and which I am never going to forget ....I will cherish each and every moment spent there with people who are so close to me :)

I also found one album in which I have collected all small little memories of Hyderabad ...and I am not going to describe in words that how I felt ....
=============

In all the day was tiring but yet brought all those preserved memories alive in mind ...with smile on face and emotions in eyes ....

Chalo c u all ... lot many things to put at right place..before I get scolding from mummy ;)

Curious souls ..!!

Hmmm let me ask you (not curiously :P ) , how curious are you about the happenings around you ? or How curious are you about what's going on in people's life? or let me put it other way , Which kind of curious are you??

Confused !! ???

Today while coming to office I was thinking about the word curiosity and I became equally curious to analyse various kind of curious souls based on the 'type' of curiosity and ofcourse 'level' of curiosity..

I am not including science , technology,  gadgets , artists -curious souls here as they are genius and infect I am thankful to these kind of souls as because of them only the era is at its best..

let me take you on some thought -ride ,

1) Well wisher curious

They are the people who really wish good for others and they become curious about others life just to check if they can help them in any ways. They usually motivate others and console people in their not so good times.
Their 'level' of curiosity is average and they seriously know the difference between to be concerned  and doing interference.

Usually they are your best friends or family members or sometimes a stranger too!!

If you have people like that around you..then you are blessed and If you are among them then also you are blessed.

2) Information Banks and Mini-Bonds

They just want to keep all information about all people around them , if they know them or not ...
That includes movie stars and cricketers ..politicians ...all..
These kinda people feel happy that they 'know' everything , they dont interfere and keep all info withing themselves.
And yes , not to forget , if you ask them for some help , they will surely do.

Usually they are in high demands when college exams are near as they surely know professor-reading xyz book-so paper- must be from it , also in office when increments/promotions files are moving.

These 'khufiya' mini bonds are sometimes blessings too ;)

3) Gossiping Greats

Ahh!!! They are curious about others life just to gossip ..they are the moving 'page 3' ..
They feel they are famous in their group. Be it your college campus or office canteen , they are there to keep 'watch' on you ...and their mind-radar is ON alwayz ..

They know who-went-with -whom or from-where-s/he buys stuff or openings in the company and who has applied...etc.
They see the smoke without fire and then never leave any efforts to be a match-stick !!

They sometimes irritate you but most of the time with their non-harmful , fun filled gossips entertain you.( Provided you are not the target ;) )

4)The Negative mirror

When you start conversation with them , they jump with the same question in order to 'know' something from you 'about you' ..They ask indirectly and hit hard directly on the not-so-happening area of your life. They are neither interested in helping nor they do it for gaining information. Knowingly or unknowingly they are their to show you tough side your life or can say reminding you about the pending issues. you can call them sadist or whatever.
But they are the negative aura around you and they pop-up like the chat window and push you into thinking zone.
You will find them most when you are waiting for result of exams , while dealing with your unexpected mark sheets , while waiting for interview call from your dream company or offer letter , or after being rejected from the company interview , while you are not sure about your relationships (but they surely wanna know) , or while you are on the arrange marriage drive , while you are married (you know for what they ask) , and after being parent - from your child's school to marriage again the whole round of Mirror image questions..!!

Soo...Which kinda curious are you?? and Do you agree to what I said above?? :)

Blogging k Side Effects ;)

Do you blog???If yes then you can very well connect to my thoughts...
and Still you dont agree to it...means that you are the strongest soul on the earth :)...

I have been blogging since 2007 , after joining Satyam and being part of the blog-o-sphere there , I understood how your thoughts - which were in your mind (in my case also in my personal diaries)can reach to people with this IT enabled mean.

Though I am proud of my blog..my blog-name and blog- friends I have earned through this journey, there are certain side effects of this hobby-blogging too...

  • Previously certain strong rebellious thoughts used to stay in my diary pages and used to RIP with time , now as I blog them (some of them not all ;) ) sometimes it's a I-am- taking -punga-with you - situation occurs.
  • I mentioned 'some of them not all' in previous side effect as , no one is going to read your diary and your hate-list or angry-list in it ..but if you put them on your blog...Wohhoo!!! you are going to be famous ;) (you know what I mean)
  • When you are in a bad mood and you blog , trust me your well-wishers will get worried reading it after months also and will ask you about it , and some curious minds will follow you to know the exact story of what happened.
  • Many a time it happens that you want to blog about 'experiences' you had with your friends , relatives, colleagues  but as they 'follow' you and of course you like it as well and matter of fact apart from that experience you like them also - you can not blog it - or you can not publish the post- and it resides in the Draft folder for eternity.
  • There some enthusiastic people who will come and read your blog and then point outs silly spelling mistakes and 'Angreji' problems and forgets about the main motto behind the post - thoughts and also forgets that the URL is just yours - and its your kingdom ( though you owe this to FREE space provided by blogspot - so what? ...kingdom is kingdom )
  • And see the side effects of blogging in above point - I have to write ;enthusiastic people' and not their names- ya ya...agreed I am not the strongest soul baba....
  • Instead of enjoying or hating some incidents , your blogger mind alwayz starts formulating sentences and paragraphs about the event, thinking about how you can convert this incident into the blog-post..I mean that's a good habit but people around you may feel shocked seeing you day- dreaming and may tag you as 'pagal'. ..and if so generous then 'Dhooni' (not Dhoni..see extra O :P )
  • I have observed people writing numbers of PS after their post - just to avoid some furious discussions- sometimes the PS says more than the actual blog-post.
Now its my turn PS: this blog post is for fun and please forgive me if at all you find some of the points are re-directing to you..please dont 'un-follow' me on blog - please please.... ;) :) :-D

The Uncommon Common man

He is a common man - who feels bad if India looses , he cries when there are terror attacks , he jumps and smiles with tears when his dream got fulfilled ..then what makes him extra ordinary ???

He is among those rare species who never complains about his work/job.

The brave person who has given his soul to his work- and his work is to make 1.2 bn people smile and proud , his work is to shake the sleeping Indian inside those who have forgotten the fact that not only 15th August or 26th January but everyday should be equally important and fulfilled with pride if you are part of world's largest democracy... A big work ..isn't  it??
But he does it with lot of passion and patience. He has been doing this for last 21 years with same courage and happiness on his face without complaining.

People keep discussing about him .. arguing about his abilities ..but he never fought back...he just kept quiet and gave the answer with his performance.

He has never given any quotations instead people have written enormous things about him but still he has not taken those complements into his head.

He has that immense aura which mesmerizes his  colleagues who work so hard to  fulfill his dream , to make him smile.

People across the globe pray for him as he walks out to do his job and celebrates when he gets success.

No matter  what ups and downs he faced , he conquered all odds and came out with glory all the time..
Who  says life is not like a fairy tale ?? It IS for some people. and if we think deep ..it MUST be for them as they deserve that life.

I wish him all the best for his fantastical life ahead.

What should I say about them .....just God bless them

What your mind thinks at these situations if you were at my place.. ?

Some of the instances where I couldnt even laugh... where I went blank seriously .....and could think of just 3 words...God Bless Them ...!!!!!

Would like to share some of the random incidents ...

How do you react when you find a Yoga teacher with plate full of pickles and heap of spicy subjis and at the same time telling you the advantages of having Popaya juice twice a day???"

How do you react when you find a lady joining "Mahila-Mukti Morcha" kind of organization just to get 'mukti' from household things including taking care of elders and children??

How do you react when a person talks a lot about freedom for girls and the same time snatch away daughter's mobile as some guy messaged her???

Another mind blowing experience I had when I came to know that one of our colleagues is not working at all just because he thinks that Government should pay him 1 Cr or some odd good money then and then only he will work...he comes to office on time...he lefts the office on time..but the whole day he just stares the computer screen...sings some salmaan numbers...writes too many internal notices with all computer lingo and total brand new English which no Oxford Dictionary can de-code..and when questioned about "What have you written?" ..answers "Give a back space!!"..........................now dont stare at my blog..he seriosly answered like that...
Ohhh God..... I couldnt even laugh at that answer..............!!!!!

I have done little bit good (Thats what people say) anchoring in my career and at least I am fortunate that I have attended some of the functions with top class anchors or Master of Ceremony ...and so I felt awestruck when a newbie self proclaimed anchor (!!) with total wrong Gujarati (And also having proud of it...."Ahhh!! Dont you know I am from Convent?" kinda attitude) rudely commented for somebody in the elderly audience ....and then suddenly started discussing taste of the idli-chuttney they served and thickness of the sambhaar ...ohhhh God...please tell that person that its a stage not a kitchen....!!!

Now what happens when you see a live demo of "Angoor to khatte hai!!" story ...
Proud parents of a child with highly low marks, instead of accepting the fact that marks are not everything in life and motivating him/her to progress in a field s/he is interested in forcefully admits him/her in some ordinary engineering college just for the sack of getting the title 'Engineer' and above all criticizes ...highly criticizes the top class college of the State and thanking God in front of people(who are passed of that) for not getting admission in to it ...
Wow!!! I just whispered God bless them !!
Complex situation but hope you got it what am trying to convey ....

Now when you are 'eligible' single and have given the tough task to your parents you come across so many wonderful people with wonderful questions.... thankfully my dad filters them before they come to me ..but one of the incidents I want to quote , a gentle lady called up my papa and after asking merely one or two things about my education and work suddenly shot a question on phone- "How good looking she is? as my son wants just good-looking wify" ....
My witty dad answered " Ohh for all fathers their daughters are Aishwarya Rais and Priyanka Chopras only ma'am" ....

I couldn't believe my ears when my father narrate this incident to me ....and there again i told...God bless them ...!!!

Now I agree that with highly advancement in technology one must think globally and have modern outlook towards life but somehow I became speechless when on a good social gathering where people of mixed age groups were present and 30% were above 75 years -suddenly the singer announced that on a request of 'the' organizer they are performing the next song....and to my great surprise the song was "Shiela ki Jawani" ...!!!! Ohh God....I was freeze on my seat and couldn't dare to look around where all old people were sitting ...
Ahh!! great song selection indeed ............uffff!!!!!

Hmmm....I am not able to re call some other 'God bless them' incidents ....so ending it here ...do tell me if you find better reactions for the situations I faced /observed ...

On the ending note I would seriously want to thank all these people for giving me the distance learning opportunity of 'Behavioral science' ....and also raising my tolerance level so only today I am able to laugh it off at all such situations.... ;) :D
