For 03 EE- my gang :)

11.10.2003 to 11.10.2011

I know that  dates are mere numbers and numbers are meant to be reside in statistics/History books ...but as some dates/numbers behave as memory trigger and they take you to the phases of life..where you have achieved something.

11.10.2003 was the day , where destiny wrote pre-fix 'Er.'  to our names and from 12th pass student we all became engineering students..to be precise Electrical Engg students ..

The day which became witness of our transition from school to college life...

The day we all met and became friends/best friends or let's say at least class mates ...

it has been 8 years still memory is still fresh ...that C block Audi and speech filled with motivating words from professors and seniors ...then C Block class room where general intro begun...that cricket match , songs , debate , acting ...etc etc.....
then we were taken on campus-tour and perhaps we realized that we were in the college which has the best infrastructure...

Canteen and workshop and that NIM ...we saw them all...

and then going to Nirma and doing masti with fun became normal routine until April 2007 ...

enormous memories.....mostly sweet and some bitter .....uncounted laughter moments and rare teary zones .....class room study to canteen assignment copying.. .ice-gola party to cutting tea in raining season ....dumbcharads  times to hectic scheduling during Vidhyut Adbhutam ....Mid-sem to class tests ....SLP time to study-tour times ....birthday parties to bakra-parties ....
we have enjoyed all....

Unlike other colleges where engineering means only fun...we at Nirma studied well as well as did almost same amount of fun like others...and icing on the cake was the campus-placements... :) So who-so-ever had little doubt about doing lesser fun and more study ...had a bigg ear to ear smile after the offer letters from the prestigious companies... ;)

Never the less I am proud to be associated with the college and also very happy to know all of you in EE department ...

Thank you for being there and making my college life most wonderful...

A day in Ye hai Mumbai meri jaan !!

Before visiting and living some of the most memorable years at Hyderabad ,Mumbai alwayz used to top on my list of favorite cities. Never the less , as far as memories are concern both the cities top the list. :)

Sometimes you dont write much about the obvious happenings in your life , and for the same reason I have never written about Mumbai and my memories ever before on the blog - as It is the routine to visit Mumbai during vacations/Holidays/Rakhi    and do so much fun since my childhood days..

I have some very mesmerizing- mastikhor- memories at Mumbai...since my childhood. Mumbai has alwayz taught me many things which usually were unknown to me as being from a silent-not so happening city..

At every stage from kid zone to teen-age zone to now , I have alwayz spent quality time at this city , as my cousins alwayz make my stay at aamchi Mumbai superb with lot many plans and outings and chit-chats. (Ofcorse, fights - some sweet one some serious one used to be there for obvious reasons like TV and blah blah in Kid-Zone days ;) :P )

My recent visit during Rakshabandhan to Mumbai had its own charm as we (Me, My two kid-cousins and my rakhi-brother(Big B)) spent lovely time roaming around in the city and that trigger me a thought of writing this post.

The day started with lots of planning and opinions from everyone about where to go and what to do , and since it was a holiday we all were in the lazy-let's sit at home and sleep zone ..and added to that Big B came late becoz of the famous Mumbai-Traffic which forced more to our declined inclination to go out. But then power of Pizza/Pasta dominated our mind and finally we four stepped out of the home in the Mumbai's humid sun-shine after completing rituals of Rakshabandhan.

The lunch at the 'Red-Box' became memorable as we played one 'ask-a-secret' kinda teen-age special game (as one of my cousin is a teenager and she is the youngest and bubbliest among all of us) , which usually is famous among friends rather than siblings ;) But we are different ...we all are friends cum siblings !! :)

After the tip-top lunch and lot many laughter riots becoz of the game , we decided to go to very famous place called Pedar-Road - which draws a line between Mumbai's fast life and the steady- royal sea. The area is a nice-hang-out place if the sun is not being so harsh on you that day. We were not lucky in that case and so we thought of going to Barista.
Now, there again the fun-game begun , both the brothers were mind-blowing in answering /questioning while me and my kid-sister were all the way giggling and laughing. And there again the serious discussion begun about which  movie to see and if not movie then what next?

Considering the fact that we all four have different movie-choices , we finally thought to go on long-drive on the Bandra-Worli sea-link.
Awesome technology marvel , beautiful sea , drizzling mausam and non-stop antakshari with siblings made the sea-link journey more wonderful.

And then suddenly we all went in to silent mode , the moment we reached to Marine Drive - for the obvious reason sunset and the sea. It's a life time experience to bid adieu to the sun , sitting on the edge of the road, staring at the sea and dot-like ship at the distance , forgetting the noisy traffic behind you , avoiding the sky-scrappers and people.

You find the meaning of spirituality and serenity at moments like these. All four of us were quiet in our own ways - younger sis was writing poetry in her mobile , younger brother was staring at the sea and was clicking some pic of the sun-set , Big B was also staring the sea ..and I was enjoying the lovely nature and was thanking the God silently for giving me such a wonderful people along with the present called Life.

Then our silence broke with the noise of Bhutta-walas and Chai-walas , and we all again started singing songs with Bhutta in our hands like school going kids ;)  Trust me it's alwayz fun to be kids again .. :)

Our return journey started with screaming mad songs like 'Senorittaa' (from ZNMB) and 'Dhinka Chika' ..
the whole day was spent in masti and masti and more masti ... :)

We reached home with lot many memories and smiles on our faces.

I found that no matter how often you talk with each other , how tough you fight on a silly issue with each other , how you realize the total opposite nature of all , the caring factor plays the lead role in relations of siblings.  They make you smile , they make you feel proud and they feel proud , they pull your leg and fights with other if they try to do the same with you ...siblings -strange yet lovely people :)

On a ending note , would say Mumbai still rocks in its own way in my life...and will write more about my bondng with the lovely city soon...till then a bigggggg thanks to all my siblings -younger ones /elder ones for being there all time for me :)
